Snacking, munching, mini-meal…whatever we call it…it can be soooo tricky.We all know we need to eat a recommended 5 meals a day; two of which are mini-meals; one between breakfast and lunch, and another between lunch and dinner (I like another between dinner and bed-time).
Here’s how I simplify it - I call those small meals SNACKS, because…we all enjoy snacking right?. And the tricky part isn’t so tricky when I have a pantry and fridge of healthy snacks to grab from. I just throw them in my lunch bag and I’m off to work.
For example:
- veggie chips
- crunch dried snacks
- fruit bar (fruit roll-up evolved)
- organic bars
- coconut water drink box
- acai drink box
- whole grain crackers
- carrot/celery sticks
- and more…
