Super Baby Food book

For all the new moms out there getting ready to start solids and don’t know how - the Super Baby Food book by Ruth Yuron is a blessing.  Not only does it walk you through month-by-month on providing healthy and whole foods, but it has details details details! And if you are type A like me, you will love it.

It lists out all the foods you can introduce per month, provides a nutritional breakdown, and how to make your own baby food in bulk.  It has a fantastic food glossary in the back that tells you how to pick, cook, and store any particular food item. As for the recipes, I’ve only tried one so far and it was very tasty and healthy.

She has a lovely daily worksheet in the book as a mom-guide for ensuring you are giving your baby the right foods/vitamins per group. I created an excel spreadsheet(embedded in ppt for the purpose of uploading here) for myself so I could adjust it per month and print copies for the first week until I learned the new routine. It was very helpful and want to share with all you new moms!

Here is the Super Baby Food worksheet: super-baby-food-daily-worksheet

On another note, I’ve had moms express concern over high-allergenic foods being introduced too early. So please cross-reference the list or ask your pediatrician.
